ROLE PLAY – The Meeting
Study case: In 2012, Ihsane Jarfi was murdered in Liège (Belgium) because of his homosexuality. Ihsane's assassination is the first homophobic murder recognized in Belgium. Nowadays, twenty years after, Belgian director Nabil Ben Yadir dedicates the film “Animals” to Ihsane. He explains the title of the film: one of the assassins, during the trial, uttered these words: “We are not animals”.
“So yes, the question of education arises in the face of this type of error , emanating from a 30 years young man, who does not realize it. It is a striking fact that we cannot forget,” indicates the filmmaker.
